Job Objective:

The Customer Service Representative is responsible for effectively working with accounts to build and maintain strong customer relationships. In this role the representative will demonstrate unsurpassed customer service by promptly addressing day-to-day customer requests, review invoices and other customer audit reports, cover service hours at customer sites and assist the Route Supervisors and Service Manager. They will partner with the Account Manager regularly to ensure all needs are being met at the customer sites they service.

Responsibilities:

• Provide on-site service to multiple customers.
• Receive communication and input customer orders promptly and accurately.
• Provide thorough and prompt responses to customer inquiries.
• Resolve customer service complaints and issues promptly and professionally at all times.
• Maintain accurate and detailed service records, computer information and customer history.
• Size new and existing customers for uniforms.
• Consult with customers on cost savings ideas and initiatives.
• Verify accuracy of weekly invoices and promptly resolve any applicable discrepancies.
• Communicate with the sales team, production team, route service team and stockroom team to ensure that valued service is provided to customers.
• Assist with responding to special deliveries.
• Additional duties may be assigned, as needed.

Job Specifications:

• Minimum of a high school diploma with 3-4 years of experience in business-to-business customer service; College degree is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to support multiple personalities and styles in fast paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills are required via telephone, written and/or face-to-face customer interaction.
• Will be expected to work 2 days/week on-site in Allegan and 2 days/week on-site in Kalamazoo (typically 6am-4pm Monday-Thursday with a 1-hour lunch). Will typically work Fridays in the Gallagher Uniform Office in Battle Creek from 8am-12pm.
• Starting wage is $20.11/hour with increases at 6 months and 1 year (up to $22.29/hour)
